Curriculum

The 30-hours of classroom instruction will consist of instruction in accordance with the NC Department of Motor Vehicles. 

Instruction includes lessons from:
     * Curriculum Guide for Commercial Driver Training Schools**
     * "Drive Right" textbook
     * Video instruction
     * NC Drivers Handbook

** Students will receive six hours of instruction on the effects of driving while impaired. 

The 6-hours of driving instruction will consist of instruction in accordance with the "Behind-the-Wheel" guide provided by NC Department of Transportation, DMV.

The 6-hours of driving instruction is to familiarize students with driving.  Students are not expected to be expert drivers after only 6-hours of driving.  The student should be comfortable enough to drive without fear with his/her supervising driver.
